Paishun Tips: Storage Conditions
If the rubber hose is exposed to some factors under improper environment during storage, the physical properties of hose and hose assembly will change, which will deprive the hose of optimal performance during operation and lead to earlier aging. The storage in line with the specification is able to provide optimal protection for the hose.
The storage period of the hose should be shortened as much as possible. In case of failure of short time storage, the hose must be marked with the time of warehousing and follow the principle of first-in first-out and checked before use. The longest storage period is 24 months.
Keep the storage temperature within the range 0~35°C, the optimum temperature is 15°C. The storage temperature should not exceed 50°C or be below -30°C, there must not be abnormal fluctuation, otherwise it may accelerate the aging of the hose.
Relatively humidity should not be more than 65%.
The hose should be far from sunlight and strong artificial light source. The windows of warehouse should have shading dark glass to avoid outer illumination.
As Ozone is harmful to rubber hose, there must not be the equipment that may produce ozone in the warehouse, e.g. Mercury vapor lamp, high-voltage equipment, running motor or other equipment that may cause electric spark or electric charge.
Rubber hose should bot contact the following material, e.g. Solvent, oil, acid-base and disinfector etc, or not be exposed to steam.
There must be equipments that may produce electromagnetic field near the warehouse, because the variation and fluctuation of electromagnetic field will induce current in the metal joint, which will make hose heat up.
Rubber hose should be stored in case of bearing excessive stress, stretching or the way that may lead to deformation, and not contact sharp, pointed objects or the surface of corrosive objects. The coiled hose should be placed flatwise. And the stack height should not lead to deformation of hose at the bottom.
